Physiotherapy

For us, physiotherapy is about developing a plan that is individually tailored to the patient and uses all the options / treatment methods and equipment available to us to improve the patient’s problem efficiently and as quickly as possible. Many of the treatment methods listed on this page are used!

Fitness subscription

A fitness subscription can be a great way to exercise regularly and stay fit. It gives you access to an indoor training area with a range of equipment and classes. Plus, there are always physiotherapists nearby to ask for advice.

Home visits

Home visits in physiotherapy offer an opportunity to carry out therapeutic treatments directly in the patient’s familiar surroundings. This form of physiotherapy is particularly beneficial for people who have difficulty visiting a practice due to mobility restrictions, chronic illnesses or after operations. We carry out home visits mainly in Engstringen, Weiningen and in retirement homes.

Lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a special form of manual therapy that aims to promote lymph flow in the body and reduce swelling. It is often used for patients suffering from lymphoedema, after operations or injuries, or to support certain illnesses such as rheumatism or after cancer treatment. The technique consists of gentle, rhythmic massage movements that stimulate the lymphatic vessels and reduce the accumulation of fluid in the tissue. By stimulating the lymphatic system, lymphatic drainage can help to relieve pain, promote healing and improve general well-being.

Cupping massage

Cupping massage is an alternative therapy method that combines elements of cupping and massage. In this technique, special cupping glasses are placed on the skin to create a vacuum. The vacuum draws the skin and underlying tissue into the glass, which promotes blood circulation and relaxes the muscles.

Pelvic floor therapy

Pelvic floor therapy is a special form of physiotherapy that focuses on strengthening and stabilizing the muscles in the pelvic area. It is often used for problems such as incontinence, pelvic pain or after childbirth. The therapy includes various exercises aimed at strengthening the muscles, improving posture and increasing awareness of one’s own body. An experienced therapist can create individual programs that are tailored to the patient’s specific needs and goals. It is important to practice regularly and apply the techniques correctly to achieve the best results.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is a therapeutic method in which electrical currents are used to treat pain, stimulate muscles and promote healing. It can be used for a variety of conditions, such as inflammation, acute and chronic pain, muscle tension, rehabilitation after injury and to improve circulation. There are various forms of electrotherapy, including 1. TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation): This method uses low-frequency electrical impulses to relieve pain by blocking pain signals in the nervous system. 2. ultrasound therapy: In this form, high-frequency sound waves are used to reach deeper layers of tissue and promote healing. 3. interferential current: This technique combines two different frequencies to achieve deeper tissue stimulation and relieve inflammation and pain.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotaping involves applying special elastic tapes to the skin to support the muscles and joints, relieve pain and promote healing. The technique is based on the assumption that the tape can stimulate blood circulation and lymph flow, which should contribute to faster recovery. Kinesiotaping can be used for a variety of conditions, including muscle tension, injuries and to aid rehabilitation. It is important that the tape is applied by trained personnel to achieve the best possible results.

Classic massage (90 minutes)

Classic massage is one of the best-known and most widespread forms of massage. It aims to relieve tension, promote blood circulation and increase general well-being. This massage uses various techniques such as stroking, kneading, rubbing and cupping. The classic massage can help to reduce stress, relieve pain and relax the muscles. In order to have enough time for this, we only offer 90-minute massages. If you would like to know more about the benefits or techniques of classic massage, let us know!

Medical training therapy (MTT)

In MTT, individual training plans are created that are tailored to the patient’s specific needs and goals. These plans can include strength training, endurance training, coordination training and stretching exercises. With an MTT prescription from a doctor, it is possible to train with us for 3 months. If you do not have a prescription, you can take out a fitness subscription with us, as you would in a gym.

Shock wave therapy

Shock wave therapy is a non-invasive medical procedure that is often used to treat pain and promote tissue healing. It involves generating high-energy sound waves that are directed specifically at the affected tissue. These waves can improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation and stimulate tissue regeneration. The therapy is often used for conditions such as heel spurs, tennis elbow, shoulder pain or tendonitis. If you have specific questions about shock wave therapy or need more information, please let us know.

Flossing

Flossing is a technique used in physiotherapy and sports to improve the mobility of joints and muscles. It involves wrapping an elastic band, often referred to as a ‘floss’, around a specific part of the body to apply pressure to the muscles and tissue. This technique can help to improve circulation, relieve pain and increase mobility. Flossing is often used for injuries or in preparation for sporting activities. It is important to use the technique correctly to avoid injury. If you would like to find out more about the application or benefits of flossing, we are happy to help!

Dry needling

Dry needling is a method for treating myofascial trigger points and fasciae, which can be responsible for functional disorders and pain in the musculoskeletal system. Trigger points are localized, painful hardenings within the musculature that can often be felt as small, pressure-sensitive knots or cords. Sterile disposable needles are used, similar to those used in acupuncture. In contrast to traditional acupuncture, however, dry needling is based on a different treatment approach.

Costs for these treatments may vary depending on the health insurance company.
The prices listed describe the costs per treatment without
